Are two people online on WhatsApp at the same time?
Add two numbers and WP Tracker lines up their online and offline timelines, so you can see how often they are active at the same moment and get a simple chat probability. It is a probability from timing overlap, not a certainty, and no messages are ever read.
Compare two numbers
Are two people online at the same time? See the chat probability. This is a probability, not a certainty.
How the comparison works
Add two numbers
Add both numbers to your dashboard. They need to share their online status with your linked WhatsApp account.
Timelines are recorded
WP Tracker records each number's online and offline sessions as they happen, minute by minute.
Overlap is calculated
The compare view lines the two timelines up and shows how many minutes they were online together, and when.
How to read the result
The result is a share of online time that overlaps, plus the hours when it happens. A high overlap on many days is a pattern worth noticing. A few shared minutes on one evening means very little, because most people are online at the same busy hours.
The chat probability is an estimate from timing only. It never sees messages and cannot know who anyone is talking to, so treat it as a hint, never as proof.
What it cannot tell you
It cannot show messages, who someone chats with, or whether two people talk to each other at all. It also cannot compare a number that hides its online status, because WhatsApp shares no data for it.
Overlap can come from completely unrelated reasons: the same time zone, the same work breaks, or simply evening habits.
Good uses
Families checking that two relatives are both active as usual, or friends who agreed to compare their screen time habits, are typical examples. Only compare people who know about it and agree.
Questions about comparing two numbers
- Does online at the same time mean they are chatting?
- No. It only means both had WhatsApp open. Overlap is a probability from timing, not proof of a conversation.
- How long until the comparison is useful?
- A few days. After a week of data the overlap pattern is far more reliable than after one evening.
- Can I compare a number that hides its online status?
- No. If online status is hidden, WhatsApp shares nothing for it, so there is nothing to compare.
- Is comparing two numbers included in Premium?
- Yes. The compare view is part of Premium, which starts with a short free trial.
